Glad to know you are up and running even though it didn't work out the way it was supposed to happen. We would be interested in finding out more about what did happen in order to prevent this from occuring again. Please email us at sales@amiattachments.com and we will follow up. Thanks.

  • I know you were detailing the AMI products, but the quick coupler made it so that you could bring out the forks for downing trees as well!! That attachment was almost written off as scrap metal and now has seen some decent use already. It’s the AMI quick coupler (and a little ingenuity of your own) that made that possible!! I really enjoy the work you do and explanations like this as to why the products work so well with the options you chose. Well done Chris!

  • i thought it was funny you put this video out after you finished the pond since here you say no complaints at all but yet you were complaining in the video the other day about the size of the holes in your bucket when moving the overflow so you had to hook your chain to the bucket tooth ;-) Keep up the great work Chris and love the videos

It seems hefty and very well built , but nothing is fail-proof or indestructible I have two grandsons who prove this time and again. Always exciting to see people push the envelope of excellence.

  • Engineers used to be the average working man. See a problem create the best solution. Done.

David JenkinsDavid Jenkins7 ditë më parë
    • Yep, a lack of practical experience is a big problem for a lot of Engineers

      horse1066horse10666 ditë më parë
    • I agree with your sentiment, but it really isn't quite true. Mostly there were inventive users that were good enough mechanics. They could make something that would do what they wanted, and would maybe (or maybe not) hold up pretty well. And might last a year or two before wearing out and needing major repairs. A good engineer would then see or be shown the mechanic's version, and go do the math and pull out the metals catalog to design it right so it would only weigh as much as it needed to and would hold up for decades. The difference between the good engineer and the good mechanic is the good engineer can do the math and can specify the materials for the best results rather than just OK results. Now, before anyone complains that engineers build shit, I said GOOD mechanic and GOOD engineer. One thing that makes a GOOD engineer good is understanding it from the mechanic's and user's side, not just having gone to engineering school and got a job in a back room somewhere, and not being able to change their own lightbulbs.

  • This is really cool to see.. You got to design the thumb for your needs, and hopefully fits the needs of others. Glad the AMI gear is holding up, and as far as I can tell, your 220 is holding up perfectly. Awesome to see, as a 10 year subscriber, that you have come this far. I imagine we'll start seeing AMI on the company equipment in the future. Congrats on a job well done. (All of them!)

His uncle John has a 160, 220 and a 250 excavater. Plus a skidsteer that looks just like Chris also the dozer, roller, offroad haul truck, grader, mini excavater and dump truck and trailer.

ReadBird GamingReadBird Gaming6 ditë më parë
    • @Bernard Phillips ... Yes, there are projects they seem to do under his uncle's company name and then there seem to be project he now does on his own. I do not know the details of how the work arrangements are, but he has made a few comments talking about 'our' new project when his uncle is around and he uses the uncle's equipment and in other videos, mostly where he uses his machines or when he bought another machine for himself, he states 'I have so many projects" and refers to them as 'my' projects.
