  • Looks like an abandoned strip mining operation. Makes me wonder WTH were they thinking. Why pay full price the the job to be done when you can pay double.

  • I'm not an ecologist but even I can see that someone has done a massive amount of ecological damage to this area. I'm curious what it looked like prior to it being touched, see the plan (if any) for its alterations (does the EPA, Forest Service, etc... get involved in changes like this?) We can only hope it can successfully recover in a short period of time.

  • Feel free to make an HOURS long video of just moving dirt with music. I know I would watch it, and probably even people that have no interest would too. It's calming (at least to me) to watch. I used to be a pool builder (all me, start to finish) and kinda miss moving dirt.

  • Reminds me of my days as an operator - D7e Dozer, Cat 627 and Terex TS-14 pans. Drained swamp land in VA Beach, VA. Used Drag-line crane vs. Excavator. Sloppy work. Constantly pushing the pans as it was difficult to run in the wet haul roads. Had to fight off snakes (water moccasin's).

  • Why don’t you have the owner pay for some good 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 road base. Pack with your truck. That Will drive the rock straight into the soft road. Then when you are done scrape it flat or smooth. Then ad on 3/4 & fines with a top of 3/4 clean. Turn that road into a good road for the next 15 or more years. (Pack each layer of rock)

  • There must be a back story to this. Someone got into an argument or something. But, the outlet pipe being so high and the pipe bell facing wrong way is weird. As well as the randomly dumped dirt. They must have dumped with a dump truck in places where they wouldn’t get stuck at the time? Hmmm

These are Anders you need to know before you sign a new contract or start this job. When a company is big enough to get into a job this size. More than likely he didn’t just walk away. He had reasons. You better get your wordage really tight & cover everything. Let us know when you are close to finishing up this job? How was the owner to work for? Did you get paid in full & on time?? Did he have and ad ons?
