Surprised someone hasn't created it yet. Especially, with the breakthroughs engineers have had with robotics. Full 360 rotation. Like a hydraulic wrist.

  • OMG that reminds me of the time 8 years ago. I get a call on a Saturday at about 1pm. Home owner rented a skid steer, trying to cut a grade on a hillside so he can drop down into his back yard and park the new boat he had just bought. Had rolled the skidsteer down the hill and needed help getting it upright and on the trailer. Headed up with my tracked skid loader, and up-righted his skid steer, got it running. Could not save the damaged cab, cost him 10k to pay to fix it up. He asked If I could build his little road. I cut the hillside into a road and brought in a load of gravel to make the road and parking area. finished it all up in 6 hrs. He had been working on it for 2 days. He could not figure out how to do it. He had me back to do more work at his home 3 times. Referred me to tons of people. He told me I am the best money he ever spent on rental equipment.

  • around why would any novice try to do this kind of work themself? I have operated heavy equipment in the past and I don't think I would consider going and renting a skid steer and try to clear a lot unless I was going to be starting a job that required me to operate a skid steer and I needed the practice.

What i dud before that was go into questionable ground and raise one end of tracks to put higher psi in that ground. If you sink then at least you know to be on guard!! Kinda saves the “deer in headlights look”!!!!
