  • Maybe I missed it in another comment but why not dig a hole in front of the big boulder and roll it in. It would still be in the ground just deeper. Those are round boulders so I am guessing you must have had glaciers there at some point. Every thing else I've seen you working on is glorious sandy loam or silt.

  • here, when ever they are digging and hit bed rock, they bring in a drill rig, and drill 6 to 16 foot holes 18" a part and pack them, load the holes and wire them up, and lay huge rubber mates over top, and pack the excavator/s or dozers on top, and blow it open, then remove the mates and keep digging

  • rent a 90# hammer drill and get some expando, drill er full of holes, mix up the expando and let it sit for the week while your off working for yer uncle, come back on Saturday and the boulders will be rocks at least, no special licenses required and a lot easier on the equipment then a hammer
