One Cove Is Done On The Pond Dredging

  • Everybody: I'm a genius! You should use a concrete pump to suck the sediment out! Real operators: what about the rocks, limbs, tires, bicycles, etc that's mixed in with the sediment going into the pump and shredding the impeller within 10 seconds? Everybody: crickets Lmao!

Kenneth NelsonKenneth Nelson16 ditë më parë
    • The trouble with a concrete/slurry pump is that it will just suck all the water out first... water has the least resistance.

Christopher BurgessChristopher Burgess14 ditë më parë
    • @Jack Price yeah like costing around $250k+ and only able to hold 13yrds max. I used to do underground utilities; vac trucks have saved my day more than a few dozen times. I think with some really, I mean really good planning, you could use one for dredging like this. But, the available HP to do work is so much higher with an excavator. HP ultimately means maximum rate of work. I think Chris uses the best solution for the job. The only thing I wonder is why doesn't he put handheld blowers on fires more often... Just sayin Chris 😉

    • @letsdig18 This is the sort of thing I was thinking may help with the sloppy stuff you run into sometimes., obviously won't work for everything you do but looks like it could make some of it a bit more effective.

    • Kenneth Nelson....why can’t you just put a grate or a filter over the intake, why couldn’t that work?

  • I'm not an operator but was wondering why you didn't pile the mud up where the skid steer could have a solid footing still and scoop it up on its own instead of using the mini to load it in the bucket? Thought that'd be easier cus you could keep working and if the dump truck driver was the one running the skid steer, he could load his truck and get going and have a good pile of mud to scoop when he got back. That's my thinking at least but like I said I'm not an operator so there's probably some other factors that I don't know about. Edit: bucket cam was awesome. I liked that point of view from the bucket.

  • Hello . you know what would work well here "I think" is a dragline with a squeeze bucket . then you can just stand on the wall with the undercarriage and squeeze everything out with the bucket and immediately dump it in a truck . you can no longer sink , you no longer need dragline mats . by the way, this is not a comment or a "you should do it like this" response. just a thought of that kind of boom & squeeze bucket crane would be easier here . not that you have to buy it right away or what . keep up the good work with your videos I love watching it . with kind regards Hollandduck from the Netherlands

You are the professional and you know what you are doing. Hence why you do so many of these. You just overcome any obstacles. That is why I think you and uncle have so much of these and a lot of work. That is also why you come in behind to clean up jobs others messed up. I am in construction and I can see a professional when I come across one. Keep doing what you do. Thank you.
