  • How lucky was it that it fell in that direction. I had nearly all of the large trees in my yard taken down when lightning hit one in the front of my house and dropped a massive branch in the middle of the road in a storm. It took eight of us to clear it all, in the storm, thankfully my neighbors chainsaw was was much better, and sharper, than mine.

  • Is there a reason you didn't just bury the stump upside down? Seems it would have been easier. Nice job.

  • I don’t think the whole was big enough to get the hole tree in ! I used hole, whole ,but it don’t look quite right. LOL. Please tell me you sawed lumber out of that tree. The pattern oak makes in large trees is so different than smaller trees. If it was sawed how many board feet were in it

  • Did you leave that big snarled up log in the brush pile. It is probably worth more in lumber than that clean wood.

  • It looks like you were allergic to digging a big enough hole for it. With the size of that massive machine you would think it would be a peace of cake to dig a hole big enough for the stump.

  • burying stumps is just prolonging the inevitable. stumps should be hauled off and chipped or burned. I'm dealing with a property where the previous owner buried the stumps and lake vegetation a few years ago. Stumps take years to degrade. In the meantime, large depressions dominate the property. Now, we're having to re-grade and fill. jmo

  • cool work, but wow, you are prone to accidents mate. you need some standardised procedures and stop using your machine like its a third hand, and more like its a 20 tonne piece of steel in motion. i cant believe you felt inclined to release the log and rest your machine on it while another man is mid cut. i would be infuriated if i were him.

More to get it and took a Half day before I could get back then had to put it on and it 95 degrees in the hot sun so I said know more I'll change em ever so often at home under the shelter before I do this again!

J BrittJ Britt3 muaj më parë
  • Damn !!! Judging by the water that filled the hole u dug for stump I'd guess that wet area was why it grew in leaps and bounds and probably also contributed to more surface roots rather than deeper tap roots to keep it locked in. U think ?
